EXPOUNDING
This site is under construction. Disregard almost everything for now.

A Picture Paints What Words?
When used in books, pictures most always are used to illustrate the story, which comes first. At expounding.org we see what happens if that formula gets turned around.
I share a photo I’ve taken then have contributors respond with their thoughts: an essay, a poem, a sermon, whatever, just not a review of the photo.
The goal is to see what the photo inspires. How does it remind you of something, encourage you, enrage you, or maybe put you to sleep?
There are no word-count requirements, nor limitations on a contributor's expression. (Light copy editing is provided, allowing the writer to focus on experience and expression, free from the fear of a dreaded comma error or dangling participle.)
I welcome reflections of individuals from a wide range of occupations/education/background/age/race/religion/sexuality/gender, etc.
